Covid-19 Policies

Based on information from OSHA and CDC guidelines for reopening businesses plus resources from our professional acupuncture and massage associations, Quest has established the following best practice checklist to protect our practitioners and clients. 

 

Please note: All clients, practitioners and staff are required to wear an acceptable mask that covers the mouth and nose while in the facility. 

 

*Please cancel your appointment if you experience any of the following new or worsening symptoms:  cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, fever greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, diarrhea, known close contact with a person confirmed to have COVID-19*


 

Appointment times

  • We are making sure to keep a minimum of 30 mins between appointments in order to allow time to adequately disinfect the room and prepare it for the next appointment 

  • Please come on inside if you arrive on time for your appointment 

  • If you are more than 5 minutes early for your appointment, please wait in your car and we will wave you in when we are ready for you. Both lounges are closed at this time to avoid unnecessary interaction between patrons while in the facility.

 

During Treatment

  • The practitioner will wash their hands in the room immediately before and immediately after treatment 

  • While the client is face up on the massage table, the client is required to wear an appropriate mask that covers the mouth and nose

  • If it is uncomfortable for the client to wear a mask while face down on the massage table, the client has the following options:  1) the client may remove their mask and use the face cradle as usual while the practitioner wears a KN95/N95 mask;  2) the client may keep their mask on but not use the face cradle, laying their head to one side;  3) the client may keep on their face mask and lay on their side to allow access to the back side of the body

  • The practitioner will wear a cloth face mask at all times while in the facility including during treatment 

  • The client may request that the practitioner wear a KN95/N95 at all times during their treatment instead of the lesser protective cloth mask

  • The client may request the practitioner wear gloves during treatment 

  • In order to avoid the practitioner overheating during treatment, the AC may be cooler than usual and the fan may be on.  Every effort will be made to keep the client comfortable by using additional layers of covering and increasing the temperature of the heat on the table

 

Transactions

  • For touchless transactions, the client may request that we send a PayPal Invoice by email or we can accept payment through Venmo, Cashapp or Zelle.

  • For in-person transactions, gloves will be worn by the practitioner. In addition, the iPad, card reader and credit card will be disinfected

 

Snacks, mints and water are still available upon request to take with you after your appointment 

 

Cleaning Between Appointments 

  • All touch points will be disinfected to include, but not limited to, chair, side table, massage table (especially face cradle area), stools, door handles, sink handles and counter area, and light switches.

  • We will disinfect the touch points in the restroom after each use

  • The trash can will be emptied and disinfected after each appointment
